English Hurdle is a friendly family-run company headed up by Nigel and his son James. The Hector family have been growing withies (willow) on the Somerset levels for generations.
Situated in Curload near Taunton in Somerset, English Hurdle is surrounded by withy beds which supply the craftsmen who hand make a range of willow products.

Coppiced withies are harvested annually, leaving undisturbed the important aquatic wildlife in this internationally important and environmentally sensitive area.
